CAF Champions League: MC Alger seal progress with emphatic win over ASN Nigelec

MC Alger produced the biggest victory of the day in the CAF Champions League, beating ASN Nigelec 5-0 on Saturday, 12 September 2026, to reach the next stage of the competition.

The Algerian side had drawn 0-0 in the first leg but made no mistake in the return match, securing qualification with a commanding performance.

TP Mazembe also claimed a home victory, overcoming Medeama 3-1. Orlando Pirates recorded the same score against La Cure Waves, while Al Hilal Omdurman edged past Aigle Noir 1-0.

African Stars defeated Mangasport 2-0, and Young Africans won by the same margin against Gaborone United.

More first-round results

Al Merreikh earned a narrow 1-0 win away to Power Dynamos. El Merriekh Bentiu secured a more emphatic result, beating Heegan 3-0.

There was nothing to separate Nsingizini Hotspurs and Scotland Mabvuku, who played out a goalless draw.

Rahimo FC and MAS de Fes also finished 0-0. The result was not enough for the Burkina Faso club, which was eliminated after losing the first leg 4-1.
