CAF CC: We are battle ready - Dele Aiyenugba

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Dele Aiyenugba has assured the fans of Kwara United of their readiness for today's CAF Confederation Cup game against AS Douanes of Niger, Nigeriasoccernet.com can exclusively report.

During their final training session on Saturday while speaking exclusively to our correspondent, Aiyenugba said the spirit in the camp of the Afonja Warriors is high and they are ready for the battle.

"The atmosphere in the camp is great.

"The unity and the love is there between the old players and the new players and most importantly the new players have blended well with the team, so we're all set to go but we just pray that God should see us through."

Talking about Kwara United's chances of winning on Sunday despite playing in an unfamiliar ground (Lagos State), Aiyenugba says:

"We can do that, we just been to take it step by step. We don't need to think about the next game, the first game is so important our home game before we think about the away game.

"We just have to take it step by step and see how it goes. All the players are very ready to make names, to make Nigerians proud and to make Kwara State proud.

"By God's grace expect victory from is on Sunday because there is energy, we want to play good football and we want to win."

Aiyenugba also charges Lagos fans to troop out in numbers to come support the Harmony boys who have adopted the State as its home ground on Sunday.
