CAF CC: Kwara United come back to ease pass RS Berkane

Kwara United defeated defending champions, RS Berkane in the CAF Confederation Cup Second Round Preliminary first leg.

 

United had to come back from a goal down to get a remarkable win by three goals to one at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Sunday.

 

The Afonja Warriors were heading for a defeat after conceding an early goal in the 7th minutes of the game courtesy of Cheick Quattara's header.

 

But there was a turn around in the game after putting pressure on the Moroccan side, the home side stepped up to the plate to score three goals with 17 minutes left.

 

Ahmed Taofeek got the equaliser in the 73rd minutes to set the ball rolling for the Harmony Boys win.

Wasiu Jimoh made it two for the Nigerian side in the 81st minute with a curling effort as they continued to make their ascendency count.

 

The dominance from United continued and eight minute later, Barnabas Daniel headed home the third goal that sealed the win and put Kwara United in good stead ahead of the second leg.
