CAF Announce Monday As Game Day For Zamalek-Enyimba Cracker

Zamalek's anticipated African Champions League match against Nigeria's Enyimba will be played on Monday at Cairo's Petro Sport stadium, the Confederation of African Football informed the Cairo giants Saturday. The Whites, who recently won the Egypt Cup at the expense of Cairo rivals Ahly, will host the Nigerian team in their final Group B clash.

The match was due to take place on Sunday but was brought forward to Saturday by CAF upon the request of Egypt's security officials, pushing Enyimba to complain for not being ready for the new date. Accordingly, CAF announced that the match will be moved to Monday.

The White Knights need only a draw against Enyimba to secure their place in the last four for the first time in 11 years. They are also seeking to win Africa's prestigious club competition for the first time since 2002.

Zamalek, who have three points, suffered successive home and away defeats by South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns, who top Group B with nine points, but have hugely benefited from an opening 1-0 victory at Enyimba plus the disqualification of Algeria's ES Setif.
