Ahead of the three Nations' TotalEnergies CAF CHAN 2024 showpiece, the African football governing body has announced that the trio of Hassan Wasswa, Mrisho Ngasa, and McDonald Mariga will serve as draw assistants, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The trio each represents the co-host nation which includes Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania with the draws set to take center stage at the Kenyatta International Conventional Centre in Nairobi, Keya on Wednesday.
19 already qualified nations, including hosts and defending champions Senegal, will be engaged in the draw to officially map out the tournament’s month-long schedule for the eighth edition of the CHAN competition which is set to take place between 1-28 February 2025.
Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda (all co-hosts), Morocco, Guinea, Senegal, Mauritania, Niger, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Congo, Sudan, Zambia, Angola, and Madagascar alongside two more teams will be confirmed for the finals although the criteria by which they would be picked is yet unknown.
