Nigeria international, Dickson Abiama has completed his move to German Bundesliga 2 side FC Kaiserslautern on a three-and-a-half year deal from SpVgg Greuther Fürth, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Abiama whose contract with the Clover Leafs would have expired in the summer is expected to sign with the Red Devils until 2027.

In Lautern, Abiama is expected to take the place in the squad of Terrence Boyd (32), whose contract was terminated according to 'kicker'.

Coach Thomas Hengen highlighted the virtues and skills of his new signing.

Dickson's path is certainly exceptional in German professional football, but it also shows what a meticulous and disciplined player he is. He is characterized above all by his speed and his ability to get to the goal, but he also has other qualities that can hopefully bring us forward in our offensive game. Dickson can primarily be used as a second striker, but also feels comfortable on the wing ,” said Thomas Hengen about the commitment.

While Abiama expressed his delight over the move.

“ I am very happy to be here. It's simply a great club, a great stadium, great fans - a top address in German football. I can hardly wait to be on the pitch with the team ,” said Dickson Abiama about the transfer.

The 25-year-old Nigerian, who came to Kleeblatt from SC Eltersdorf in the summer of 2020, appeared in 101 competitive games for the game association. He scored 15 goals and another six assists.
