Bayern Munich thrashed Hertha Berlin 5-0 on Saturday, with Robert Lewandowski scoring a hat-trick and breaking the 300-goal mark for the defending Bundesliga winners.

Thomas Mueller gave Bayern an early lead, but Lewandowski equalized either side of a Jamal Musiala goal.

Lewandowski, who set a Bundesliga record with 41 goals last season, has already scored five goals in three league games this season.

Bayern moved into second place in the table, level on seven points but on goal difference behind early leaders Bayer Leverkusen, who thrashed Augsburg 4-1 courtesy to two early own goals.

Lewandowski also holds another record which is the Guinness world record for breaking five goals in nine minutes.

In the transfer market, he has been linked with a possible move to PSG only if Mbappe makes the exit.
