The 24-year-old Manchester City defender Ko Itakura arrived in Germany yesterday and ready to undergo a medical today with Schalke, according to Sport1.
As reported by Sky Germany, 2. Bundesliga side Schalke have agreed to sign the Japan international on a season-long loan with an option to buy for around €4m.
Itakura spent last season on loan at Dutch side Groningen, where he played 35 league games.
