Rounding up pre-season preparations ahead of the EFL Championship opener against Ipswich Town, Birmingham City FC pulled up a dogged performance against Nottingham Forest with new boy Bright Samuel-Osayi playing a pivotal role in the nervy clash at St. Andrew’s Knighthead Park, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Birmingham City concluded their pre-season campaign on a high with a narrow win over Nottingham Forest, secured by a first-half goal from Jay Stansfield.
Forest came close to equalizing through Nigerian forward Taiwo Awoniyi, who nearly broke through the defense, but his attempt was confidently dealt with as he advanced toward goal.
Up next for Osayi and Birmingham City is next week's league opener against Ipswich Town where he will be hopeful of making his debut with Chris Davies Blues.
