The French judiciary is investigating the record-breaking transfer of striker Victor Osimhen from Lille to Napoli last summer, according to media reports.
L’Equipe has now reported that they are going through all the documents concerning the transfer following allegations of tax fraud as well as many other abnormalities.
Osimhen made history when he became the most expensive signing in Italian football history when Napoli signed him for over 80 Million Euros.
Lille it was reported are still waiting for more than 48 Million Euros in respect of this transfer as only 10 Million Euros has so far been paid to the Ligue 1 club.
Four other players were also expected to have joined Lille from Napoli as part of this transfer.
It must also be noted that part of the agreement between Lille and Napoli is that Osimhen record transfer fee will be paid over five years.
The change of ownership at the recently crowned Ligue 1 champions in December sparked off this probe.
