Bournemouth Wary of 'Massively Different' Chelsea After Last Season's Win at Stamford Bridge

"?Bournemouth may have beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last season when Glenn Murray scored the only goal of the game in a huge win for the Cherries, but club captain Simon Francis is well aware that the former champions have come a very long way since then.

The skipper and his team-mates certainly won't be resting on any laurels when Bournemouth travel to Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day to face Antonio Conte's league leaders.

Chelsea are "massively different" this season, Francis told AFCB.co.uk.

"In terms of personnel they haven't changed their players too much but they've changed their formation and seem to have a manager that they're running through brick walls for," he explained.

"You would have thought you could say that about Jose Mourinho but for whatever reason last season that didn't happen for them.

"We caught them on a day when we played some great stuff, we matched them and fully deserved the win. That's something we'll never forget and can draw experience from."

One player that has embodied the change at Chelsea more than anyone else is Diego Costa.

But even though the Spanish international, who leads the Premier League goal charts this season, is suspended for the game, Francis is still wary of the other threats that Monday's opponents hold.

"[Costa] is suspended but you're not really rubbing your hands together because they've got strength in depth so you have to look at who else they're going to bring in and how you're going to address those situations," he said.

"Without Costa it might make it a different team for them but it will still be a tough test for us, no doubt."
