English Championship side Middlesbrough FC have made a shortlist of their best moment in 2022.
The shortlist of twelve the club claimed are their favorite, one of which is expected to be announced as number one after voting.
The heroics of the club top scorer Chuba Akpom on two occasions appear on the list, one of which include the hat-trick on Boxing Day.
“Chuba Akpom, whose revitalization has been one of the stories of Boro’s season, netted an exceptional hat-trick in front of a sold out Riverside Stadium on Boxing Day - a first treble for any Boro player since 2018 and one that moved the striker joint top of the Sky Bet Championship’s highest scorers list,” The club revealed.
The other moment was the late show on Boro's return to action following the World Cup, Crooks got the winner after Chuba Akpom’s leveller in the first half in the tie against Luton Town.
The Nigeria born 27 year-old this season has scored twelve goals in his 18 league appearances.
