Boniface will to boost Werder Bremen's performance - Steffen

Werder Bremen manager, Horst Steffen believes Nigerian striker Victor Boniface will significantly enhance the team's performance, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Boniface joins Bremen on a season-long loan from Bayer Leverkusen, bringing his impressive skills as one of the Bundesliga's top forwards.

“Victor is well-received and likeable. He will certainly raise our level, and he’s improving every day,” he was quoted by the club’s official website.

The 24-year-old is poised to make his debut for Bremen in today's league match against Borussia Mönchengladbach at Borussia-Park, which kicks off at 15:30 GMT.

Boniface joined Werder Bremen on loan from Bayer Leverkusen, where he scored 32 goals and provided 12 assists in 61 appearances

He played a key role in Leverkusen's successful 2023-24 campaign, contributing 14 league goals and nine assists
