Black Queens head coach Yusif Basigi says his side will not be lowering their guard as they bid to reach Rio’s Olympic games in Brazil next year.
The Black Queens recorded an impressive 1-1 drawn game against the Lionesses of Cameroon in the first leg in Yaounde.
They will needed to avoid a defeat or a high scoring drawn game to progress to the next stage of the qualification series for next year’s quadrennial show piece.
Despite holding a relative advantage after the first leg Coach Yusif Basigi says they are focused on producing another solid display to progress to the next round.
“I do not take any games lightly let alone when it is against Cameroon,” Bassigi told Accra based Citi FM
“We know what we have to do and we are working to ensure that everybody is up at the level that is expected.
“We play a friendly game tomorrow to condition the players which is a requirement for a game like this.
“We will approach the game with the same seriousness we did in the first leg.”
Cameroon are the book maker’s favorites to progress to the next stage of the qualification series after the Lionesses reached the knock out stages of the just ended FIFA women’s world cup held in Canada.
