Benin have begun their recovery and acclimatisation programme in Buenos Aires after completing a long journey ahead of their international friendly against Argentina.
The Guepards arrived in the Argentine capital before starting preparations on Friday, 2 October 2026. Head coach Gernot Rohr has arranged a reduced schedule for the squad’s opening day as the players adjust to their new surroundings.
A gymnastics session is due to begin at 10:30, while an optional visit to Libertadores de America has been planned for 17:30. The outing will give the players an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the area.
Benin are continuing their preparations for a meeting with Lionel Messi’s Argentina at the Monumental de Buenos Aires. The match is scheduled for 00:00 Benin time in the night from 6 to 7 October.
