Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare scored his sixth league goal of the season as KRC Genk smashed Dender 4-0 in the Belgium Belgian Pro League, matchday 8 game played on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com writes.
Arokodare whose last goal came last weekend against Club Brugge opened the scoring on Sunday for Genk 23 minutes into the game.
His goal paved the way for Genk who in the early stages of the game found it difficult to break through the wall of Dender with the team going on to score 3 more. Christopher Bonsu made it 2-0 for Genk in the 53rd minute. Patrik Hrošovský made it 3-0 in the 76th minute as Korean Oh Hyeon-gyu wrapped up the win in the 83rd minute.
The win is Genk's sixth of the campaign, placing them top of the Belgian Pro League with 19 points, 6 points above Gent who have played a game less.
They play host to Mechelen next week Saturday in the matchday 9 of the Belgian Pro League.
