Noah Martey has come on in leaps and bounds.

Bechem United’s Noah Martey has joined the pack of top scorers in the Ghana Premier League with five goals after scoring in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Medeama at home.

The defensive midfielder is a surprise name on the chart alongside Gilbert Fiamenyo, Berekum Chelsea duo Stephen Baffour and Kofi Owusu and AshantiGold’s Yakubu Mohammed- all strikers.

Martey bagged a brace in the 4-2 defeat to Berekum Chelsea and in the 1-1 home draw with WAFA at home.

He was also on target in the 2-1 reverse at AshantiGold.

The 19-year-old has become the first player to score in four consecutive matches.

Surprisingly, Martey was dropped from the Ghana U20 team for their pre-2015 African Youth Championship camping in Turkey.
