Bayern Munich midfielder Xabi Alonso praise on Ghana star Baba Rahman sparks massive interest
Interest in Ghana defender Baba Abdul Rahman is sky-rocketing following the glowing tribute Bayern Munich midfielder Xabi Alonso paid to the talents of the Ghana international youngster.
Rahman, 20, is described as an exciting left-back famed for his pace, attacking prowess and defensive positioning.
According to Italian publication Tuttosport, Juventus will swoop to sign the Augsburg ace for a fee in the region of £15m even though their rivals Roma were keen on him.
The Premier League duo of Chelsea and Arsenal had previously been tipped to bring Rahman to England, but it looks increasingly likely Italy will be his next destination.
Bayern Munich midfielder Xabi Alonso spoke highly of the coveted youngster having faced him in the Bundesliga last term.
He said: "Looks like he has the ability to become a top left-back and might even be better suited as a left-wing back."
