Bayern Munich concede Bundesliga’s fastest-ever goal after eight seconds

Augsburg took a shock lead against Bayern Munich on Saturday when Robin Fellhauer scored the fastest goal in Bundesliga history after just eight seconds.

Fellhauer’s strike broke the previous record of nine seconds, jointly held by Kevin Volland and Karim Bellarabi.

The goal came after a costly mistake by Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. Having received the ball directly from kick-off, the 40-year-old tried to chip it over Fellhauer but instead sent it straight to the Augsburg player.

Fellhauer was left with a clear run to the unguarded goal and calmly finished to set a new Bundesliga record.
