Bayern Munich made a strong start to their 2026/27 UEFA Champions League campaign with a 5-0 victory over Bodø/Glimt at the Allianz Arena on Thursday.

Vincent Kompany’s side dominated possession and chances but were unable to break through before half-time as the Norwegian side held firm with a disciplined defensive block.

The breakthrough came two minutes after the restart. Jamal Musiala powered a right-footed shot into the net in the 47th minute after Harry Kane’s effort had been blocked.

Bayern then took control of the match. Kane doubled their advantage in the 61st minute, heading in from a free-kick delivered by Michael Olise.

Alphonso Davies added a third in the 77th minute with a left-footed volley before Olise completed a memorable contribution with two late goals.

The France international curled a shot into the top corner in the 83rd minute, then added his second in the second minute of added time.

Bodø/Glimt’s task became even harder when Bjortuft was sent off in the 87th minute. Bayern finished with a convincing victory and an emphatic attacking display in their opening European fixture.
