Ibrahim Maza has made clear that joining Paris Saint-Germain would be a major ambition, amid reports that the French club is monitoring the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder.
The Algeria international described the prospect of representing PSG as “an enormous dream” when speaking to RTL/Sky Sport. Maza regards the Paris club as one of the biggest teams in world football and sees a move to the French capital as a dream destination.
“It would be an enormous dream to play for Paris one day,” Maza said.
The 19-year-old’s comments underline his attraction to the Paris Saint-Germain project and his desire to play for a club he places alongside several of European football’s leading institutions.
PSG interest reported
Maza’s remarks come as German media reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain are keeping a close watch on his progress at Bayer Leverkusen.
The offensive midfielder is regarded as one of the young talents capable of taking another significant step forward in the coming years. His technical ability and attacking potential could provide Paris Saint-Germain with another option in their forward play.
However, there has been no official confirmation of negotiations between Bayer Leverkusen and Paris Saint-Germain. While the reported interest remains unconfirmed, Maza has openly acknowledged his wish to play for the Ligue 1 club in the future.
For now, he remains a Bayer Leverkusen player, with the German side preparing for their fourth match of the league phase in the Europa League against OM.
The match is scheduled to take place soon, with betting company 1xbet listing Bayer Leverkusen as favourites. Its quoted odds are 1.38 for a Bayer Leverkusen victory, 5.50 for a draw and 7.50 for an OM win.
