Bayelsa Queens are highly motivated by Bayelsa State Government - Daniel Igali

The Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Bayelsa State, Dr Baraladei Daniel Igali has stated that Bayelsa Queens are highly motivated for their campaign Women's CAF Champions League.

 

Igali disclosed that the girls have been assured of their bonuses, cash gift for goals scored and assist from the Bayelsa State Government.

 

"I can tell you right now that we are here as a team with bonuses right up to the final. That is the level of support the Baylesa State Government gives them, he said in an interview on Friday's Sport Tonight on Channels TV. The government ensured that all the players are assured of all their bonuses, but not just all of their winning bonuses."

 

"For each goal, they know how mucg they get if they score five goals. Each goal a player scores is a thousand dollars which is equal to fibe thousand dollars for the team.

 

The person who scored a goal gets additional money alongside the player that with first, second assist. That's how things have been planned . All of rhem are waiting to get their bonuses as the competition goes on." Igali said.

 

Igali who doubles as the FA president of wrestling in Nigeria, revealed that Bayelsa Queens know their opponents and are preparing to do well in the competition.

 

"The team know alot about Sundown Ladies, Wadi Degla, and TP Mazembe. Since we got here, the Coaches have been playing different formations and looking at how to curtail and advance toward their opponents."

 

He went further to state that the club is the club with the highest renumeration among the clubs in the country following great support from the State Government.

 

According to him, the massive support for the teams in the state stems from the antecedent of the governor as a former sport commissioner of the State and the passion of the Deputy Governor who supervises the team.

 

The Prosperity Girls kickstart their campaign of the second edition of the Women's CAF Champions League in Morocco against Mamelodi Sundown Ladies of South Africa on Monday.
