Italy midfielder Nicolo Barella has described watching the World Cup on television after winning the European Championship as “cruel”.
Barella spoke about his feelings during the tournament, which took place over the summer, saying it had been particularly difficult to follow as a spectator.
“It was cruel to win the Euros and watch the World Cup on television,” Barella said.
Spain were crowned world champions.
