Barcelonas current side too strong for Real Madrid, says Alenichev

Former Russia international Dmitry Alenichev believes Real Madrid would struggle to compete with the current Barcelona side, even if Jose Mourinho, Pep Guardiola or Jurgen Klopp were in charge.

Alenichev was assessing Sunday's meeting between the two Spanish heavyweights in the 10th round of the Spanish championship.

“Even with Mourinho, Guardiola and Klopp at Real Madrid, the team would hardly cope with the current Barcelona,” said Alenichev.

The latest El Clasico will be played on Sunday, 25 October, at a stadium in Barcelona. After nine rounds of the Spanish championship, the hosts are top of the table, while the visitors are third.
