Barcelona are prepared to take steps towards signing Tottenham and Spain defender Pedro Porro, according to reports in El Nacional.
The 27-year-old is said to be considering his future at Tottenham after becoming frustrated with the club’s start to the season. Tottenham currently sit bottom of the Premier League table.
Porro has been linked with a possible move away from Spurs, with Barcelona reportedly interested in bringing him to the club. The Catalan side believe he could form a right-sided partnership with Lamine Yamal, similar to the combination already seen when the pair play together for Spain.
El Nacional published its report on Wednesday, claiming Porro is open to the possibility of leaving Tottenham. Barcelona are ready to explore a deal for the defender, but any transfer is expected to come at a significant cost.
Tottenham will not consider offers below €60m for Porro.
