Barcelona are planning to extend Marc Bernal’s contract, with the 19-year-old midfielder set to receive a €500m release clause.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the new agreement for the Barcelona academy graduate will include the buyout figure.
Bernal has made 10 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions this season and has provided two assists. The club would be prepared to sell him for €500m if the clause in his contract were activated.
A €500m release clause is also included in the contracts of Dani Olmo, Pau Cubarsi, Fermin Lopez and several other Barcelona players.
Pedri, Raphinha and a number of other key members of the squad have even higher clauses, each reaching €1bn.
