Zambia Under-20 captain Lubambo Musonda has been ruled out of Thursday’s clash against Ghana at the 2015 Africa Youth Championship due to an injury.
The youngster has failed to recover from an ankle injury he picked up during their 1-0 defeat to Mali on Monday.
Zambia team physician Dr Mwila Lupasha has confirmed their influential leader will not take part in the game on Thursday.
"Lubambo is out of tomorrow's (Thursday's) game due to continued pain and a bit of swelling on his right ankle," Lupasha said.
"It is early to comment on his full recovery before the last game against South Africa. I hope he will be fine then.”
Zambia must beat the Ghana to revive their hopes of qualifying to the World Cup in New Zealand in May.
