Ghana U20 coach Sellas Tetteh says his team will be taking its last group match of the African Championship with Mali on Sunday very seriously.

Both teams have won their opening two games to qualify for the semi finals of the competition as well as this years's FIFA Under 20 World Cup and there are suggestions the match will be of no importance to the teams.

However, Sellas has played down such talk, insisting that the match is an important factor for the team to move forward.

"People are not talking about Mali and they are only talking about us reaching the semi finals but the Malian game is very important because every game with how it comes and what you learn from such a game," Sellas told www.ghanafa.org.

" Yes we've qualified - every game with how it comes and what you learn from that game. Mali are coming with a different game plan so we shall adopt a another game plan, learn something from it and that will take us to the semis.

"Such a game will prepare you and get you ready for subsequent games ahead in the competition so we are looking at the Malian game as an important factor to project us to the semi and by the grace of God, in shaa Allah, Ma shaa Allah we could go very far for the ultimate."

Ghana is currently leading Group B on goal difference and tomorrow's game will determine which team ends the group as winners. With Nigeria having already won Group A, Sellas rejected claims that Ghana will be playing to avoid their arch rivals in the semi finals.

"We are ready for any team,"he said.

"We have reached a stage where any team we meat, we are okay with. Top spot or not, we are playing our game so whatever thing that comes our way, we face it and make sure that we overcome it."

South Africa and Zambia will also play simultaneously in Dakar to bring games in Group B to a close.

Kick off for both games are 17:00 GMT.
