Atletico de Madrid have appeared to mock Real Madrid after posting about Federico Valverde’s recovery from the injury he suffered in the Madrid derby.
The match on 20 September ended in a 2-1 victory for Atletico. Valverde was forced off after sustaining damage to his left ankle during a strong challenge from Lee Kang-in in the first half.
Following medical examinations, Real Madrid confirmed that the midfielder had suffered a third-degree ligament sprain.
Valverde has now been included in Real Madrid’s squad for their match against Villarreal, which will be played on 10 October.
