Aston Villa make summer transfer plans for Iheanacho

Nigeria international, Kelechi Iheanacho is is the latest name on Aston Villa’s transfer lens, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The forward will cease to be a Leicester City player at the end of season owing to his refusal to sign an extension.

Although the EFL club have been crowned the champions, thereby securing the promotion back to the top tier, Iheanacho refused to go back on his decision.

Aston Villa according to Football Insider, want to sign the 27 year-old this summer despite already having Olie Watkins and Jhon Duran in their ranks.

Unai Emery’s side are currently fourth on the Premier League table and could secure qualification for Champions League next season.

Iheancho since his move to Leicester in 2017 has registered 35 goals in 172 league appearances for the Foxes.

The former Man City man has been linked with Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Turkish Super Lig outfit, Trabzonspor.
