Rennes forward Yassir Zabiri has attracted interest from Premier League clubs Aston Villa and Newcastle while spending the season on loan at Spanish side Racing, according to insider Ekrem Konur.
The 21-year-old Morocco international is currently contracted to Rennes, who value him at 20 million euros. Zabiri’s performances in Spain have placed him on the radar of the two English clubs.
His loan agreement with Racing runs until the end of June next year. Transfermarkt estimates the striker’s current market value at nine million euros.
Zabiri has made four appearances in La Liga this season and has scored three goals.
