Nigeria Super striker, Asisat Oshoala has left Spanish giants Barcelona for a National Women’s Soccer League side, Nigeriasoccernet.com has gathered.

NigeriaFootball.ng reports that Asisat will join Bay FC in San Jose after she completes her medicals and other necessary paper works this week.

Oshoala whose contract with the Champions League champions ends in June is reported to be moving for a transfer fee in the region of €150,000 ($162,000 USD).

Barcelona say the former Arsenal and Liverpool striker had been left out of the Real Betis’ clash on Sunday and Wednesday’s Wednesday’s Champions League trip to Portugal for SL Benfica due to personal reasons.

However, NigeriaFootball.ng can confirm that the Spanish giants sanctioned Oshoala's movement to the NWSL.

The Africa footballer of the year recorded 107 goals in 149 appearances for Barcelona during her five-year stint, from February 2019 to January 2024.
