Asante Kotoko head coach Mas'UD Dramani has insisted his side played well despite their 1-0 reverse against arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The Porcupine Warriors were pinned down at their own backyard as they were unable to recover from a Selasi Adjei 7th minute strike at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Hearts of Oak had not beaten Kotoko in the last seven season but that record came tumbling down in Kumasi as Herbert Addo guided Hearts of Oak to a memorable win over them.

Kotoko head coach Mas'UD Dramani says his side played well.

"They played well but we also did. We contained them and completely marked out Fiamenyo from the game. The least of the harmful chances they got is what they scored," he said.

Hearts remain behind Kotoko on the league table despite the victory against them.

You play well to win and not to lose an important game like this one.
