Asante Kotoko coach David Duncan has attributed his rigid tactics to the poor state of pitches in Ghana.
The former Hearts of Oak coach has been criticized for his increasingly defensive approach to games especially when playing at home and expected to take the game to the opponents.
Some have even described the tough-talking trainer as scared to lose any more games in order to keep himself in the job.
But Duncan who ended his side’s three-game winless run on Sunday against AshantiGold says bad pitches are responsible to his tactical approach.
“The types of pitches we have, means you have to devise a strategy for it,” he said.
“You play the ball and it hits many bumps.”
