Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan scored in Al Ain’s 3-0 win over Naft Tehran at home to top Group B of the Asian Champions League.
Gyan doubled Al Ain’s lead at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium after Omar Abdulrahman opened the scoring on 63 minutes.
Four minutes away from time, Jires Kembo-Ekoko added the third.
Gyan and his Al Ain teammates have qualified for the round 16 stage from the pool.
The Ghana captain was the tournament’s top scorer last season where Al Ain reached the semi-final stage and got eliminated by Saudi side Al Hilal.
