Arokodare Cleared for Wolves’ Clash Against Aston Villa

Super Eagles forward Tolu Arokodare has been given the green light to feature for Wolverhampton Wanderers in their Premier League encounter against Aston Villa, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Old Gold are set to host Unai Emery’s side at Molineux on Friday night. Arokodare endured a difficult week after being subjected to racial abuse on social media following his missed penalty in Wolves’ 1–0 loss to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park last weekend.

Wolves manager Rob Edwards confirmed that the club has supported the Nigerian striker and is mentally ready to return to action.

“He was upset and angered by it, understandably so,” Edwards said ahead of the fixture. “We have supported him, and we have had a few individual chats with him. We have spoken about it as a group to make sure we get around him and support him as well.”

The 25-year-old joined Wolves from Belgian Pro League side KRC Genk last summer and has since made 18 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals for the Molineux outfit.
