Nigeria's Akor Adams has got the backing of his teammate, Arnaud Nordin at French Ligue 1 side, Montpelier to regain his form and start scoring, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Akor has had a torrid period suffering a dip in form which has the Nigerian go without a goal since October, limiting the player's playing time.

Akor was on the bench until the 77th minute when he came in for Nordin in Montpelier 'a 3-0 win over in the French Ligue 1 at the Stade de la Mosson on Saturday.

However, Nordin believes it is just a phase; what he calls "slack period" that will pass soon for Akor.

"As you have seen, Akor has a lot of quality. It happens to a lot of attackers to have a slack period."

"I have complete confidence in him, he is someone who works a lot. So I think it will come back, he shouldn't be totally focused on that, because it could make him thwart, but naturally, it will turn around and I will be the first happy for him as soon as he gives us goals," he was quoted by Allezpaillade.

Adams who started the his first season in the league scoring 7 goals in 9 matches will seek to revive his goal scoring prowess when Montpelier travel to Marseille on Saturday.
