Aribo's goal could not stop Chelsea's whitewash

Super Eagles midfielder, Joe Aribo was on the score sheet for Southampton on Wednesday, but it was no significance as they were thrashed by Chelsea in the English Premier League, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Aribo had cancelled 7th minute goal scored by Axel Disasi with his goal scored in the 10th minute.

However, from them on it was a free fall for the Saints at the Saint Mary's as Christopher Nkunku restored Chelsea's lead 7 minutes later.

Noni Madueke doubled the lead on 35 minute to give the London side a 3-1 lead at the end of the first half.

Cole Palmer on 76 minute and Jordan Sancho on 87 minute wrapped up a comprehensive win for Chelsea.
