Nigerian midfielder, Joe Aribo has expressed his delight with the Southampton’s impressive pre-season results, following their 3-0 win over Ligue 1 side Montpellier on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Russell Martin’s side have now secured three consecutive pre-season victories, and Aribo was pleased with the performance in Spain.
"Feel like it was a good win from us, a good performance from the boys," he told the club's official website.
Aribo highlighted the team's intent and quality on and off the ball, adding, "Through the 90 minutes we showed good intent, on the ball we were good, out of possession we were good so it was a good performance."
The Nigerian international also emphasized the importance of getting minutes under his belt, saying, "For me, it's just getting a good performance and a good run out. I got 60 minutes in the tank, so it's in the tank now."
Aribo will aim to maintain his impressive form when the new season commences next month.
