Apostolos Vellios Eager to Use Past Experiences to Succeed at Nottingham Forest

New signing Apostolos Vellios is confident that his difficult experiences in English football at such a young age will help him succeed at Nottingham Forest, as reported by the "?BBC.

The Greek striker who previously spent three-and-a-half years at Everton has admitted that he will make the most of his "second chance" at the City Ground.

Following a successful season last year, scoring 11 goals in the Greek Super League for Iraklis, Forest completed the signing of the tall forward on June 29th.

Vellios told BBC Radio Nottingham: "When I was 18 I came here and for three-and-a-half years it was a little bit hard for me.

"Now it's like a second chance. I really wanted to come back here."

During his time at Goodison Park, Vellios was sent out on loan to Blackpool where he made just two appearances.

The former Toffees striker who won his first cap for Greece says he feels different this time around.

"I was young and now I feel I have a bit more experience. I feel completely different," Vellios said.

"Everton was like a school for me, because I came here young and learned a lot. Now I think it's going to be easier to be part of an English team.

"It wasn't a hard decision. It was an easy decision. I like the way we train here, I like the weather here - it's football weather - and I like everything in England."
