Conte said he would only commit to a new project once the right conditions were in place. He also rejected reports that financial demands or concerns about his personality were behind any hesitation from Manchester United.
The 55-year-old said the claims circulating in the press should not be treated as established facts. He added that he would discuss the terms of a potential job only if he received a serious offer.
Conte’s comments come as speculation continues to connect him with Manchester United. However, he made clear that he is not prepared to rush into his next appointment after his spell at Napoli.
The Italian manager’s position is that he first needs time to reflect on the next stage of his career before deciding whether to take on another project.
