Nigeria striker, Taiwo Awoniyi was in action for 25 minutes in Nottingham Forest's loss to Aston Villa in the English Premier League on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Super Eagles player who returned from injury over a week ago was a substitute as the Villains return the Reds to the battle for the drop zone after a 2-0 defeat at Villa Park.
It was an encounter devoid of a goal in the first half as the two sides were almost even in their performances, but no real threat at goal was recorded.
However, the second half started quiet animated as the home side opened score with first half substitute Bertrand Traoré scoring a rebound after his first attempt was saved by Navas in the 48th minute.
Steve Cooper brought in Awoniyi and Mangala in the 65th minute to add more firepower to the attack, but it didn't bring the desired change as Awoniyi was booked in the 86th minute.
Ollie Watkins ensured no comeback was insight for Forest as he scored the second goal at the dead of the tie to finish the match 2-0 in favour of Aston Villa.
