Andre Ayew: “I remember the red coat my father wore in 1992 AFCON final”
Anthony Baffoe speaking with Andre Ayew

Black Stars’ striker, Andre Ayew, said that the 2015 AFCON final brings-back memories of when his father was suspended during the 1992 AFCON final against the same team that he will be facing tonight.

Ghana needed 120 minutes and 13 penalty shootouts to claim their last AFCON title in 1982 after a dramatic final against hosts Libya before ten years later they lost the final to Cote d’Ivoire in the same manner (penalty shootouts) and Andre Ayew witnessed it with his father who was suspended in that match.

I remember the red coat my father wore (sitting on the sidelines in the 1992 final). My father is a Ghanaian and so I want to win this cup for all Ghanaians,” said the Marseille player.

When you get to the final, you need to do everything to win the trophy.” he concluded.

The final will be held at the Bata Stadium starting 07:00 p.m GMT

Why would DEDE not remember at age six.My cousin is six years old and can read and write. Europe is not like Ghana where even at 40 years you are considerd a minor. Police report here in the UK shows four year olds raping their peers.Do digest DEDE's comment with tunnel view.Like someone said, the tape is on YouTube.

I think all the players that was in the squad for Senegal '92 should have been flown to E. Guinea to support the current squad. Abedi Pele Anthony Yeboah Anthony Baffoe Prince Opuku Stanley Aborah Emmanuel Armah (Senegal) Kwesi Appiah Salifu Ansah Edward Ansah Ibrahim Ali Odartey Lamptey Mohammed Gargo Frimpong Manso Emmanuel Ampiah. Somebody help complete the 92 squad for me. All of them should have been sent to this year's final. Ghana needs to do all it can to win this tournament.
