Ghana international winger Andre Ayew dazzled for Olympique Marseille as he helped to end their recent poor run of form in the French Ligue 1 as they humbled Metz 2-0 on Friday evening.
The 25-year-old started the game at the Stade Saint-Symphorien before 23190 fans as French international Andre-Pierre Gignac claimed a brace to win the tie for Marseille.
Andre was booked in the 57th minute, summing his total bookings for the season to nine.
Marseille were without a win from their last five games, since beating Lens 4-0 in the last week of March.
But their recent dip in form and continuous losing streak was halted as they downed Metz who did not have Ghanaian youth international forward Kwame Nsor in their squad for the game.
