Parma came from behind to beat Genoa 2-1 at home on 20 September in the fifth round of the Italian championship.
David Romero opened the scoring for the hosts in the 38th minute, putting Parma ahead before half-time.
Genoa responded after the break and levelled in the 70th minute through Milutin Osmaic.
The decisive moment came 10 minutes later when Pontus Almqvist restored Parma’s lead with the home side’s second goal.
Genoa were unable to find another equaliser in the remaining stages of the match, leaving Parma with a 2-1 victory.
