Aliou Dieng has made an immediate impact at Valencia after leaving Al Ahly, establishing himself in the starting XI at the beginning of the Spanish season.
The Mali international’s move was discussed by his representative, Khaled Maghraby, in an interview with Maghreb-Foot. Maghraby highlighted the co-operation of the Egyptian club’s officials during negotiations and said Dieng had specifically targeted a move to Europe.
The midfielder’s smooth adaptation to La Liga has been supported by the experience he has accumulated throughout his career. The 28-year-old, who was born in Bamako, has already featured in four league matches for Valencia this season.
His progress in Spain also reflects his desire to continue developing at the highest level. Dieng is under contract with Valencia until 2028 and is currently valued at 3 million euros.
Valencia’s next league fixture will come in round six of the Spanish championship against FC Sevilla. The match is listed at odds of 4.10 for a Valencia victory, 3.40 for a draw and 1.95 for a Sevilla win.
