Alhassan Yusuf resumes duty for New England Revolution

Alhassan Yusuf has resumed duty for his new club the New England Revolution in the Major League Soccer, US, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Super Eagles rock solid midfielder joined from Belgian club Royal Antwerp FC for an undisclosed fee in early August after signing a two-year deal with an option to extend.

He joins after receipt of his P-1 visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC) this month as his American adventure begins.

The Kano-born spent three years in the Belgian topflight with Royal Antwerp, where he won three trophies including the 2022-23 Belgian Pro League championship and 2022-23 Belgian Cup, and was named the club’s Player of the Month in August 2022.

Yusuf is part of the Super Eagles that will be playing in the World Cup qualifier against Benin Republic in September.
