Brahim Hemdani is set to strengthen his Algeria backroom team with at least three new members when the Fennecs meet again in November.
The new head coach is expected to bring in two video analysts, both selected directly by him, according to El Heddaf. They are due to join the national team staff for the next international gathering.
Hemdani also wants to add one or two assistant coaches, meaning his team could grow by three members at a minimum, and possibly four. The changes are intended to give him a more complete support structure as he continues to establish his ideas with Algeria.
The appointment of additional analysts reflects the increasing importance of video work in modern football. Assessing opponents, reviewing tactical sequences and examining individual performances now form a significant part of match preparation.
Hemdani has already overseen two matches since taking charge, with his first gathering producing an unbeaten start.
Algeria began with an impressive 3-1 victory over Zambia in Tizi Ouzou. The Fennecs then faced a much tougher test against Burundi, where they were forced to recover from a two-goal deficit.
The Hirondelles made a strong start in front of their home supporters and moved 2-0 ahead. Algeria responded well, however, showing the mental strength to fight back and secure a 2-2 draw.
The results have given Hemdani four points from his opening two matches in the Africa Cup of Nations 2027 qualifiers. Although the trip to Burundi exposed areas that still need improvement, the coach has avoided defeat in the early stages of his tenure.
He will now have more personnel available to help address those weaknesses when the squad reconvenes in November. After making his first adjustments on the pitch, Hemdani is preparing to reshape the staff working behind the Algeria team.
The expected arrivals would allow the new manager to expand both the technical and analytical support around the national side as he builds on a generally promising opening camp.
