Alex Iwobi joins EPL African players' elite company

Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi has joined English Premier League African players elite club following his appearance in Fulham's four goals thriller against Ipswich Town over the weekend, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Fulham ace has lined up for three premier League side which includes Arsenal, his boyhood club where he graduated from the academy, Everton and now with the London based outfit.

According to OptaJoe, Alex Iwobi has become the fifth African player to make 50 plus Premier League appearances for three different teams after Kanu (Arsenal, Portsmouth, West Brom), El Hadji Diouf (Bolton, Blackburn, Liverpool), Yakubu (Everton, Middlesbrough, Portsmouth) and Mohamed Diamé (Wigan, West Ham, Newcastle).

Iwobi could have celebrated this feat with a goal after his left-footed strike from a tight angle was high and wide in what was the first chance of the half to arrive for Fulham at Craven Cottage but it wasn't meant to be as both shared settled for the spoils i the 2-2 encounter.
