NPFL Review: Akas Excited To Score First Enyimba Goal

Published on: 23 May 2016

Enyimba defender, Chima Akas, is delighted to have scored his first goal for the side. The left-back scored a stunning free-kick from about 25 yards to help the Nigeria Professional Football League champions beat hard-fighting Nasarawa United 1-0 in their matchday 19 fixture at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Saturday. The former Sharks player told to Completesportsnigeria.com he is looking forward to scoring more goals for the Peoples Elephant. “It was my first goal for the club (Enyimba) and I’m happy it helped us win the game,” Akas told Completesportsnigeria.com. “It was a tough game for us as Nasarawa United were determined to get something positive out of the game. “Personally I look forward scoring more goals for the club both in the NPFL and the CAF Champions League.” The win against the Solid Miners extended Enyimba’s unbeaten streak in the NPFL to eight teams.
